Find a Way to Get Involved

Program Overview

AWOM Time Talks

Individuals need special support after the loss of a loved one. AWOM Time Talks is a division of the Angel Watching Over Me Foundation that offers a peer support groups for adults. The support groups offer a safe and comfortable environment where younger and older participants can explore their emotions. These groups are led by two licensed therapists from Time Emotional Guidance Center.

AWOM Flow is a monthly yoga class for the girls at Olsen Middle School. Through AWOM Flow, we promote mental and physical health starting at a young age.

AWOM Holidays

In October of 2016, Angel Watching Over Me hosted Halloween parties for Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital and Miami Children's Hospital. Through these events AWOM was able to create a fun and festive experience for children with different illnesses who didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate Halloween due to their ailments.

Over Thanksgiving, AWOM provides not only the Olsen Middle School families with meals, but over 100 other families in need as well.

AWOM partners with other organizations for Holiday toy drives and feeding the homeless. Last year, over 300 toys were donated to the Miami Rescue Mission and AWOM hosted a Christmas bash for the Psychiatric facility at the Nicklaus Children's Hospital.

AWOM Girls Club

A support group at Olsen Middle School, led by Sarah Akiba, every Friday. The weekly group creates a safe space for the 6-8th graders to talk and learn about low self-esteem, self-love,  etiquette, personal hygiene, bullying, compassion, and female leadership. In creating different activities and bringing other female leaders, the girls get a different experience each week.
